The organisation Child Bereavement UK are currently running a series of training courses. They say the following about them:

“We are delighted to announce that we have some availability on our August courses, a great opportunity to develop your skills. The 3-hour interactive training sessions are delivered by our experts with plenty of opportunities for discussion and reflection. Cost is £45.00 and they are aimed at any professional who comes into contact with grieving children and young people whatever the capacity. The 90-minute Bereavement Awareness webinar training courses are designed specifically for the education sector, recognising the importance of school in a young person’s life. This training will help to empower education professionals, by offering information, strategies and resources to support bereaved pupils and help them to manage their grief.”

Bereavement by suicide – Supporting children and young people Monday 23 August, 10am – 1pm This 3 hour interactive online workshop will consider the challenges associated with supporting children and young people bereaved by suicide. More information and booking

Bereavement awareness training – Early years and nursery Tuesday 24 August, 4 pm – 5.30 pm This training provides an introduction to bereavement for professionals working in pre-school, nursery and early years settings. More information and booking

Pregnancy loss and death of a baby – Supporting parents Wednesday 25 August, 2 pm – 5 pm This 3 hour interactive online workshop explores the impact of pregnancy loss and the death of a baby on parents and the wider family, and on the professionals who care for them, and will equip professionals with the knowledge, skills and understanding to provide the best possible care to parents in these circumstances.
